#EuroLongevityTour: 10 Countries, 6.5 Weeks, 1 Backpack
On August 25th I embarked on a six and a half week journey to explore the secrets of longevity in Europe. I'm currently writing this post in the comfort of a coffee shop in Budapest (the picture above is from a tower in Old Town Warsaw Saturday evening). Below you'll get more details about the why, what, when, where, and how you can help!
I believe older generations are the world's largest wasted resource with the greatest potential to benefit future generations.
To connect younger generations to older generations and glean the values of this connection, I believe story is the most powerful tool. I'll be traveling around Europe filming different stories (4k and 360 for VR content). I'm always open to and appreciate suggestions!
Older Generations: share the stories of older generations living with purpose and the stories of those who have lived through significant historical events (e.g. WWII, the Holocaust, communist regimes)
Innovations in Longevity: utilize and explore unique gerontechnology, living arrangements, and business models (e.g. intergenerational living models and Dementia Village)
Expert Interviews: discuss challenges specific to each country (e.g. workforce and policy)
Historical Sites: film historical sites with an older tour guide to use as an entertainment and Ed Tech tool
Blue Zones: study areas with high density centenarian populations to investigate successful aging
